The house was really nice, a home from home. We would recommend anybody who needs a break to go there. A little far out so you need a car to get around, but a great place to stay.

The cottage was lovely but some of the flags outside the back door were a bit wobbly and a bit of a trip hazard.

We had such a lovely week here. The location was fabulous to visit The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales as well as the beautiful local surroundings. Beckside is a lovely, comfortable home from home. Fab with a toddler and a Grandpa. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beckside is a lovely and comfortable, very well equipped, home from home. Tucked away in a quiet village on the edge of the Lake District it is the perfect location for visiting both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.

This cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday, it is within 30 minutes by car of loads of attractions and walks. We cooked all meals here with no problem. We felt at home the whole time and really enjoyed our stay. Hoping to stay here again in future.

We had a great stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely pub in the village, but everything else is a short drive away. We found everything we needed as a home away from home.

Lovely cottage in a great location for touring (20-30 minutes from everywhere really),and a good pub 2minutes walk away. Only downside are the extremely uncomfortable beds.

A large bungalow with a pretty garden, ideal for families. Good value, but would not stay again as we were disappointed with the area and would return to other areas of the lakes that we prefer. Other people may have different views. Would recommend the Smithy Pub which serves good food at a fair price

Beckside was an excellent place to stay as a base for our birdwatching trips in North Lancashire and South Cumbria. Very well equipped, comfortable, quiet location in a small village. Very good value for money and, for us, especially important that pets were NOT allowed, our number one priority when selecting a place in the area which we wish to viRead moresit. Hide
