Comment: Lovely, friendly place to stay. Great dog friendly
base to explore area and most importantly fab
pub 2 mins away!

Name: Kristina Woodall - 7-Jul-2012
Comment: The cottage was full of character inside, very comfortable, with a lovely garden, and very peacefully situated whilst only being 5 minutes walk from 2 excellent pubs, both dog friendly, serving good food and beer. The owner next door was friendly, allowing us to put our bikes in her garage. There is really good cycling from the door; Grizedale Forest is not far.
There is a great walk up Claife Heights and Latterbarrow, about 7 miles round trip from the door, and also a lovely walk down to Lake Windermere from the door, where its possible to catch the ferry to Bowness, and then the boat for a trip to Ambleside.
There is a bus stop nearby, giving access to Hawkshead, Coniston, Ambleside etc, so a car is not essential.

Comment: Pepper Yeat is a quirky cottage bursting
with character set in a beautiful part
of the Lake District and is an ideal
base for those looking to explore
surrounding areas. It has lovely gardens
and is well equipped. It is very
comfortable, warm and clean. It is about
a ten minute stroll to The Tower Bank
Arms which I would highly recommend as
the food is great. We will definitely be
staying at this cottage again.
