Comment: Enjoyable short break in Thirlmere, always lovely
to come back from a days walking to somewhere
so cosy. Highlight was seeing Osprey flying over
Esthwaite.

Comment: Had a very pleasant stay. Esthwaite Farm is situated in a picturesque location. Extremely comfortable with everything to hand. For families there is a fantastic park just up the lane from the farm which our kids loved. We recommend visiting Hill Top Farm, lovely little treasure trail for the children. There is a footpath just pass the pub (great food and service) which not only takes you directly to Lake Windemere safely and off the road, but also to the next village Far Sawrey (0.5 mile) which has a little shop worth visiting, milk, bread, fruit and veg. We only used the car twice as found plenty of walks to enjoy locally, kids loved the lake which is just off the farm down a private foot path and also exploring the local wood. Enjoyed it so much we will be back. Thanks to everyone that made the cottage so comfortable and clean, and special thanks to the sheep which we loved listening to at the end of the day enjoying a glass of wine or 2!

Comment: This was a great apartment. Great views from the
first floor windows. The kitchen was newly
refurbished and well equipped. The gardens were well maintained and
enclosed so they were ideal for our two year old to
run around. Good, safe access to Esthwaite Water
via a path from the gardens (secured by a gate).
The picnic tables were a great spot to have a glass
of wine and watch the sun go down on the warm
evenings.
