This luxury first floor apartment set in the Country House of Sawrey Knotts above the village of far Sawrey, giving it spectacular views of Lake Windermere and the Mountains.
The building retains the feel of of a country house with the main front door opening into large welcoming entrance hall with winding staircase all the decor and fittings are to a very high standard, giving the feel of stylish grandeur.
THE ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES OF
A large airy living/dining room with open plan kitchen. This room with its wonderful bay window offers spectacular views and combines with the quality furnishings and open fire making evenings a real delight. SKY TV, DVD, CD player and radio.
The Morning Suite has newly up-graded bespoke, handmade solid pine kitchen, including brand new a Neff double oven, ceramic hob and stylish crystallite sink plus large larder fridge and dishwasher.
The Master bedroom is en suite with shower, wc and basin. This lovely double room, complete with antique furniture luxury fabrics and chandelier, has panoramic views down Lake Windermere from the large window a TV (with Freeview) DVD . The 2nd bedroom has zip together twins offering flexibility of a Queen bed if preferred. The 3rd is a very pretty single room in the Tower of Sawrey Knotts.
The stylish bathroom has a large bath with hand held shower, WC and basin with brass fittings.
Outside -There are lovely shared gardens with spectacular views -whatever the weather, Footpaths lead from the grounds up to Claife Heights and a short stroll away is Far Sawrey with its pub and village shop

Comment: This was our second visit to the morning room and this time we shared the experience with 2 friends. The suite was perfect for us as it had 2 more or less equal bedrooms. The location is ideal for us and the views are stunning. Everything as as we expected and of a high stardard. If I were to make an adverse comment it is that the suite is looking tired with sun faded covers which could do with at least reupholstering but ideally changing. We are happy with the service that Hideaways offer even to leaving the keys at the pub as we did not arrive until evening. We will be back

Comment: We had a very enjoyable stay. The view from the apartment was beautiful and we found it all very comfortable. It was my first visit to the Lake District and I found Far Sawrey to be a very good base. I liked the peace and quiet and the grounds of the house were lovely.

The drive way approach has a lot of potholes and needs attention -(note from owner) the bottom of the drive is being resurfaced next week the rest of this work will be completed this winter

Comment: Absolutelty fabulous house in the most wonderful setting. The Morning Room Suite was the ideal accomodation for our family. Very spacious and extremely comfortable and it happened to be decorated with fabric from our Scottish weaving mill which was a pleasant surprise. It was also a very short walk to the warm welcoming ambiance of The Sawrey Hotel. I would definitely recommend it for a peaceful break with easy access to Wndermere. We will certainly be back again.

Comment: This was a lovely place to stay. The views over Lake
Windermere were stunning. The location was
central so enabled easy and quick access to both
the north and the south Lake District. The close
proximity to Grizedale made this an ideal base for
mountain biking. We were out on the bikes most
days during our stay. The kitchen is very well
equipped. One very minor point for improvement -
please free up some cupboard space for storage of
food. - NOTE FROM OWNERS "WE HOPE GUESTS WILL ENJOY THE LOVELY NEW BESPOKE SOLID PINE KITCHEN FITTED IN JULY".

Comment: the views from the Morning Roon have have drawn us back several times now. Gorgeous apartment - perfect for 5 of us and lovely grounds for the children to play safely
