This traditional Lakeland home is set in a wonderful area amidst the woodlands of Grizedale Forest next to the river.
Grizedale offers activities for all ages - the adventure playground, discovering the many sculptures hidden in the forest, walking, or perhaps a challenging bike ride.
This rather eccentric and quirky property on the first two floors of this very large house, (owners occupy top floor - via separate access) provides excellent value for family groups.
The Eagles Head at Satterthwaite is less than a mile away and serves food each evening. A short drive away are Hawkshead, Ambleside, Coniston and Ulverston providing an interesting variety of shops, places to eat and cinemas.
THE ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES OF
There are two lounges with open fires - they are spacious and very individually furnished - one even offers a piano and guitar for musical evenings! There is no T.V. but the owners have provided a selection of books and games for your entertainment.
The dining room has a large dining table - a perfect setting for large family meals.
The Kitchen is equipped with cooker, microwave and large larder fridge. A separate utility room has a freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and downstairs w.c. and shower.
There are 5 Bedrooms - 3 doubles and 2 singles all with wonderful views of the lovely expansive garden which surrounds the house
.Main bathroom has a bath w.c. basin
Outside there is plenty of space with lovely expansive lawns and scrubs and plenty of garden furniture. The garden is edged by the river which can supply lots of fun on hot days with pools and cascades, however young children will require supervision at all times.

Comment: Our whole family (including 3 teenagers) thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house is in a fantastic setting,really traditional and quirky. Absolutley great to get away from the stresses of everyday life, no TV or phone signal, bliss!!
