Comment: Sweet cottage located in a great location in the centre of the Lake District. I loved the early morning short walks right next to our cottage with occasional sightings of deer and squirrels before getting in the car to visit so many points of interest in the district. I will also remember the tranquil setting of the garden as I sipped coffee on a rocking chair! I just wish my holiday was still coming!!

Comment: We have visited the Lodge twice now, 2011&2012. We love what you have done with the new kitchen very bright and airy. The Patio is a big improvement and
is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. If you are looking for a place away from the fast pace of life , you will find it here. Eddie & Sue

Comment: Really loved this cottage. Perfect for dog owners
and ideally situated with the lake shore not far
away, wray castle close by and lots of lovely
walks from the back door. Had a wonderful
holiday and would definitely recommend.

Comment: Great cottage, lovely situation for total peace and quiet. The dog and children loved the enclosed garden. We had deer visiting the garden on a few occasions.

We can highly recommend The Tower Bank Arms in Sawrey for fantastic food and a warm welcome. Dogs and children are very welcome too.

We walked up a few fells, Lingmoor being our favourite for the views of Great Langdale. We also had a great time at Grizedale forest and two of us did Go Ape whichc was our 10 year old favourite activity for the week.

We are hoping to book again for next year and were really lucky with fab weather after a few years of pouring rain!!

Comment: We loved this property due to the great gardens and secluded location. Our dog could safely wander without fear of traffic. Although it felt remote you are little than 10 mins from ambleside by car. For the walkers there are hundreds of routes in the surrounding areas, even though we went in summer I could not resist in making a fire in the front room every night.
