Comment: A spacious and well equiped cottage in a great
position. Hawshead and Outgate are easily
reached by foot. Lots of great walks. We and the
dogs had a great stay.

Comment: We were happy that this property allowed us to bring our 3 dogs, although the garden is not secure. We enjoyed the privacy & peace & quiet. Nice and clean and very cosy, especially with the woodburned.

Comment: We really enjoyed our stay at the Old
Barn. The cottage was very warm and
comfortable with all mod cons. We
enjoyed the garden on sunny mornings and
evenings too.
The cottage is fantastically placed for
many activities. Enjoyed several days
cycling in Grizdale, rented kayaks from
Coniston Boating Centre and walked both
from the cottage and further afield.
We found the tour of Wray Castle,
previously not open to the public,
interesting and a walk from there up
Latterbarrow and back along the shore of
Windermere made a great day out.
This is our second visit to this area,
and with Hideaways, I am sure we will be
back!

Comment: Our stay has been just fabulous. The cottage was beautifully clean on arrival, even the oven which is so often overlooked or ignored.
We expected just a days supply of fuel for the fire and dishwasher so were very delighted this was all included
The cottage was warm and cosy throughout our stay and we wanted for nothing in terms of crockery and equipment.
The mattress (once again so often lacking) was comfortable and the bedding beautifully clean and white.
Thank you for all the attention to detail. We have had a wonderfully relaxing week in a beautifully cosy environment. Compliments to you and your staff and to the owners of Old Barn.
We will return!

We will definately come to stay again & would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Barn or Lakeland Hideaways.
