Comment: As always we have had a lovely week in a lovely one bed flat that was good enough for two adults and our 5 years old son. The flat is fantastically positioned just outside the village, within a lovely 5-7 minutes walk across the fields. Sun Cottage cafe in the village is also a lovely place to have a cup of tea, lunch, or just enjoy their perfect home made cakes.

Comment: We have stayed in Hideaways properties before and booking was made quick and easy.
The cottage was easy to find from the directions given even on a wet dark night. The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed very comfortable. The view from the large window was lovely.
Good to be able to walk into Hawkshead across the fields for essentials and leave the car behind for once.

Comment: Both the accommodation and location were stunning. The cottage was exceptional well equipped and clean, the garden and patio area were wonderful to relax in after a day’s walking.
It’s less than ten minutes into Hawkshead Village and very central for days out or walking from the Village.
I would highly recommend this cottage.

Comment: We were delighted with the central location to the village. Hawkshead has 4 pubs that all serve food as well as coffee shops for teas and snacks. The property had a lovely bedroom which appeared to be recently decorated. The kitchen was fitted to a high standard and was well equiped for those who prefer to eat in. The large lounge had a lovely sunny view. During our stay it would have been nice to open the top windows as it got quite hot in the late morning sun. The property had a set of local walking guides around Hawkshead which we used on two days. The property is centrally located and we used this as a base for walks from Elterwater to Grasmere and through the Langdale Valley. Stickle Tarn is well worth the 2hour climb. Coniston is also a short drive which gave us the opportunity to climb Old Man,Swirl How and Weatherlam in a day. Sadly we ran out of time but intend to return to the area.

Comment: The bed was very comfortable. Outlook from the picture window was a relaxing country scene. Very quiet location, plenty of countryside rhythms here.
Needs a more powerful microwave.

Comment: Lovely accommodation, with a very large comfortable bed. A ten minute walk using a footpath across fields to Hawkshead village shops. Sheep and cattle grazing in the fields below make it a very tranquil experience.
I can recomend it.
