Broad Howe is a spacious, single storey property in a unique situation with panoramic views over Esthwaite to the mountains and with easy access to the fells. It is such a magical location that Beatrix Potter herself bid against the family for this house as it's views are quite inspirational !

Reached by a partially tarmaced lane, about half a mile from Near Sawrey.The house is well away from traffic and located in 4 acres of it's own grounds.

The veranda which runs along the front of the property with table and benches is perfect for soaking up the views whatever the weather! The porch leads into a large hall/living room with electric fire, sofa, chairs and large desk. The parquet floors and rugs continue throughout the house and these, along with the many interesting original features (such as high ceilings) and the collection antique furniture, create a very special home with real character . The cosy sitting room has an open fire and large french windows with fantastic views, TV and DVD . The dining room/kitchen is beautifully designed for sociable dining. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped with fridge/freezer, electric cooker, dishwasher and microwave. There is also a laundry/utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. There are 3 bedrooms - one double, one with twin beds that can be pushed together into a super king on request and a third bedroom with bunk beds. The bathroom has a over the bath shower WC and basin, and there is also a smaller shower room with WC and basin.

Immediately adjacent to the main house is a pretty summerhouse which has been converted into 2 rooms linked by an external covered walkway (with wheelchair access). One as a twin bedded room and one is a large wetroom with shower, basin and WC and under floor heating. This property is heated by night storage heaters, which can be used as convection heaters when needed. There is space to park three cars next to the house.
