Set on the edge of the beautiful Grizedale Forest. Dancing Beck is a delightful semi - detached cottage in an an idyllic setting. This former forestry workers' cottage has been beautifully furnished and combined with a delightful garden it is a very special property in a quiet location. Hawkshead is 3 miles away and Grizedale Visitor Centre only a short walk or bike ride through the woods with its playground, cafe, sculpture trails, mountain bike routes and GO-APE.
The Accommodation consists of:
The welcoming hallway with wooden staircase and pine floorboards leads to a cosy lounge. It has deep sofas and flat screen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD and of course the open fire. There is also a CD/HiFi system and a phone for incoming calls. There is a separate dining room with large table and chairs - perfect for family meals.
The lovely, bespoke kitchen reflects the owners love of wood and is very well equipped including an electric double oven with halogen hob, dishwasher, microwave and Belfast sink.
Beyond the kitchen is a ground floor cloakroom with basin and wc and a large utility room with washing machine and tumble drier and french doors leading out into the garden.
Upstairs there are three pretty bedrooms, all with coordinated fabrics and very high quality wooden furniture. Two doubles and one room with full size bunks. The modern family bathroom has a bath with power shower over it and a basin and wc. The cottage is heated by oil central heating is very warm and cosy, ideal for use all year.
Outside there is a beautiful, well cared for garden which gently rises up the hillside. The garden furniture makes this a delightful place to eat al-fresco and enjoy the tranquility of the location. The front garden has a attractive small pond so young children will need supervision in this area.
There is ample parking adjacent to the cottage. There is also a garage which can be used for secure bike storage if required.

Comment: Lovely house, perfect setting. Go Ape on your doorstep (adults/kids aged over 10 only), Hawshead nearby (village shop & Kings Arms), Wray Castle, Hill Top, World of Beatrix Potter all worth visiting (ferry to Bowness), and plenty of great walking.

Comment: We have had a lovely time in Dancing Beck again. We went cycling and walking. We had a lovely time exploring Wray Castle and on Go Ape where I got stuck!
