Beatrix Potter once lived in this lovely 3 bedroomed whitewashed cottage which dates from the 17th century which is now owned by The National Trust. Close to the beautiful Blelham Tarn, designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), this peaceful location is ideal for bird watching and fishing as well as walking. Walkers can enjoy the five footpaths that meet at the farm entrance.
The traditional porch leads into the hall way with plenty of space for coats and boots. The lounge to the left has comfortable seating for 6 , a welcoming open fire , TV with Sky Freeview DVD and CD player. To the right there is the kitchen with electric cooker and microwave. There is a large pine table and chairs for family meals. A separate traditional back larder has a large fridge freezer and tumble drier.
Upstairs there are 3 pretty bedrooms - 2 twins and one double - all with pine furniture. There is a family bathroom with electric shower over the bath, basin and wc.
Heating is by night storage heaters downstairs and oil filled radiators upstairs making the cottage cosy and offering flexible heating making it suitable for stays throughout the year.
The owners have added a travel cot and high chair for the use of guests with babies and small children.
Hole House Cottage is in a beautiful quiet location with access to the surrounding countryside and fishing is available on Blelham Tarn only a short walk from the cottage. There is a seating area outside and access is down a private road with plenty of parking space.
