Comment: We have just returned from a Holiday at Hawkshead staying in Merlin cottage. we had a great time the cottage was very clean and well equipped and only a short walk to the village centre. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a good base in this area of the Lakes. Perfect Holiday.
Thanks

Comment: This cottage is perfectly situated, being just a few yards from the village centre and almost opposite the public footpath leading to a variety of walks. The cottage itself has everything you need for a pleasant stay, being well equipped and comfortable.

We particularly enjoyed the walks to Tarn Hows and Castle Wray, Claife Heights and Moss Eccles Tarn.

We were very fortunate to have good weather during our stay, and we spent a couple of evenings eating at the Sawrey Hotel in Near Sawrey. Good food and wine at a reasonable price, we ate outside on the terrace overlooking beautiful gardens, pastureland and a glimpse of Estwaite Water.

We are both looking forward to returning to the Lakes very soon.

Comment: Can't improve he cottage, but think the greenery around the four poster bed is unnecessary.
