Hawkshead is 4 miles away and Grizedale Visitor Centre only 1 mile away with its sculpture trails, mountain bike routes and GO-APE - a tree top assault course.
The Accommodation consists of:
A comfortable lounge/dining room with patio doors onto the garden and gas stove effect fire, TV with basic Sky and DVD. The fitted well equipped kitchen has electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave and stable door to the garden.
There is a pretty ground floor double bedroom which is made up ready for your arrival with towels included. The bathroom has a shower with basin and wc.

Comment: Fantastic cottage, great location.
Beautiful garden, unfortunately it slopes
at one side so the dog kept jumping over
the wall after eyeing up the sheep in the
field next door!
Jennifer was really lovely, a warm
welcome from her. I was very impressed
with the cottage and the company and I
have booked another cottage holiday
with you in June for 2 weeks.

Comment: A wonderful cottage that allows you to fully appreciate the the beauty and drama of the Lakes without being subjected to areas that have become imported Blackpools. We found the Queens Head(Hawksend) provided a good menu and one that we can recommend.
Whilst remote we were still within easy travelling distance of many place that we visited--such as Cartmel and Holker hall ect

Comment: What an absolute wonderful find!As soon as we walked into the cottage there was a sense of homliness with lots of homely touches. We found it extremely difficult to drag ourselves away from the garden and every day we looked forward to coming back from our long walk to relax with a glass of wine to sit and admire the view. There are so many walks from the cottage there is no need to use the car.Jennifer was a wonderful host and always around if neeeded. We are all set to book again as soon as we again so what better recommendation is that!
