Broomriggs apartments form part of a stunning conversion of a quintessential English country estate house that dates back to the turn of the century.
The House, approached by a long sweeping driveway bordered by Rhododendrons is set in an elevated position overlooking Esthwaite Water. Each of the apartments has magnificent views of both the Lake and the much sought after surrounding mountain scenery incorporating The Langdales, Coniston and Wetherlam ranges.
Private lake frontage and rowing boats are available for visitors use as well as approximately 40 acres of gardens and woodlands. There is also a children’s play area with swings , climbing frame and outside table tennis.
Broomriggs 2 is a lovely 2 bedroomed ground floor apartment sleeping 4. It has a large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area which has been designed to make the most of the fantastic mountain views. There is a C.D, DVD, Sky T.V and a deep leather settee and arm chair. The kitchen is well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, fridge and separate freezer.
There are two comfortably furnished, pretty bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin. Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with showers. The twin ensuite, which has recently been refurbished to a very high standard - now has a shower over the bath - PLEASE SEE PHOTO BELOW.
Outside we are sure guests will not only be captivated by the views but will also enjoy the beauty of the landscaped gardens and surrounding woodlands

Comment: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broomriggs. The actual accomodation was excellent, the double bed extremely comfortable and the caretakers were top class. The views from the windows gave an air of serenity, in fact perfect calm. The only very minor issue was the cutlery which ,although it was clean was not the best to use - only if you use it do you realise the handles have quite sharp edges. We hope to come back in near future. Philip and Polly West

Comment: The property is set in a very quiet & private location. & is very well equipped. the outgate arms was a nice place to eat, the town end house at troutbeck is well worth a visit. we hope to re-book soon.

Comment: This ground floor flat is light & comfortable with
plenty of space & the most fantastic view across
Esthwaite! From the lounge we watched
woodpeckers, a jay, finches, tits & squirrels. We
glimpsed deer in the woods and enjoyed the
beautifully kept terraced gardens which include a
play area. We rowed on Esthwaite, and walked up
through the grounds to Moss Eccles Tarn. Add to
that the helpfulness of the onsite warden & his wife.
No wonder this was our second visit!
