IMGP6828 This lovely converted Lakeland farm is beautifully situated between Near Sawrey and Esthwaite Water. The farm gets many repeat visitors with guests falling for the magic of the location and the tranquility of the area – returning year after year. The barns have been converted into 11 individual apartments – all with separate entrances and ample parking adjacent to the property. There are 2 apartments sleeping 2,  7 apartments sleeping 4 and 2 sleeping 5  and 7 of the apartments are on the ground floor and therefore ideal for those with limited mobility. Most properties have woodburning stoves and all wood is provided – stored in the old pigsty!

There is plenty of space around the buildings with a safe, sunny paddock with picnic benches ideal for children to play and dogs to let of steam and they offer excellent value for families and groups. There is a great village playground only a short walk away.

Esthwaite Farm is an ideal base for couples, families, walking, cycling groups (accommodation for groups up to 40) and because of the design it allows guests privacy and space to enjoy the tranquility of the location throughout the year. It is only a short stroll to the lake stocked with trout – ideal for fishing /picnics/paddling and enjoying the views ! Guest get free fishing on Esthwaite Water with weekly bookings which is a saving of over £100 per person !

There is also a great pub in the village which serve food and welcomes children and dogs – The Tower Bank Arms.

This is a pretty, quiet location – tucked away from the main road but close to village and Hilltop the former home of Beatrix Potter.
There is a shared laundry with washing machine, tumble drier and public telephone in traditional red telephone box .

There is wifi internet access in many of the properties and the owners and hoping to extend this throughout 2014 – hindered by the very thick lakeland walls.
