Self Catering in the Heart of Provence

This paradise which Petrarch called “the Magic Mountains”, is located between the River Rhone, the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea. Basking in the sun this part of Provence has cold, sunny winters and hot dry summers. Bad weather seldom lingers and the Mistral wind blows through and sweeps clouds away, ushering in the light and clarity which has always attracted artists.
The Luberon valley boasts medieval villages clinging to the sides of mountains, each with its own character and charm. The lush valleys contain vineyards, orchards and fields of delicious melons and vegetables sold ripe on the markets each day. Stunning fields of lavender give the scent and colour so indicative of Provence.

Set just 5 minutes drive from the traditional market town of Mallemort this
traditional farmhouse and it’s barns have been converted into 2 charming Provencal houses which provide an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Luberon Hills and the historic towns of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon and Salon.

Although set in this beautiful rural area, Mallemort is still only half an hours drive from Marseille Airport (due to the excellent motorway system). This area abounds with picturesque Provencal villages such as Loumarin, Lauris, Oppede, Menerbes and Bonnieux - perfect for relaxing at the outside cafes and bars. Mallemort also offers the opportunity of days out on the beaches of the Mediterranean or exploring the wonders of the Camargue.

Whilst keeping the traditional Provencal style and character, we have also added all the modern conveniences one has grown to expect in self catering accommodation in the U.K.  As well as having private, sunny terraces there are 2 acres of land surrounding the property for play and relaxation.
