Esthwaite Farm sits in the most wonderful location between Near Sawrey and Esthwaite Water. Near Sawrey was the home of Beatrix Potter at Hill Top and many of the surrounding views can be seen in her books.

The old stables and barns of this traditional lakeland stone farm have been imaginatively converted to create 11 individual properties named after famous Lakes and Tarns . Many visitors return year after year captivated by the tranquility of this lovely place. Set amongst the rolling, countryside and with access down to Esthwaite Water this is a perfect place for families, walkers and people wanting to bring their dogs on holiday.

Esthwaite Farm

There is a large grassy paddock for childen to play safely away from cars and garden furniture to relax and enjoy the views. The walk to the lake across the two fields is fenced so dogs can be allowed exercise without needing to put them on the lead.

There is free fishing on Esthwaite Water via permits and as the lake is well stocked with trout this attracts many fishermen year after year.

There is a very good pub called the Tower Bank Arms a short walk away which serves food if guests don't feel like cooking.

The properties can be booked individually , but also can cater for large walking groups catering for upto 40. Weekend breaks are available away from the main season.
