Terms and Conditions of Booking
1. TENANTS
Tenants must agree to take good care of their holiday home, to leave it clean and tidy and to notify and pay for any breakages. This is the main condition of acceptance of any booking.
2. HOLIDAYS
In order that properties can be thoroughly cleaned and inspected between lets holidays commence at 3.00 pm or 4.00 pm on arrival day and terminate at 10.00 am on departure day (please check final instructions)
3. BOOKINGS
- A deposit of £100 per week is to be paid when the booking is made, plus £20.00 per week compulsory holiday cancellation scheme.(See details below)
- The balance of the rent is due six weeks before the commencement of your holiday. If we do not receive your balance by that date we will assume you will have cancelled your booking and will seek to re-let the properly. If we are unsuccessful you will be held responsible for the balance of the rent due (unless covered by the cancellation scheme). If we do re-let, an administration charge will be deducted from your deposit.
- If you book within 8 weeks of your holiday the whole rent is required as a condition of booking.
4. PETS
Pets are permitted in some of our cottages but we would like to make the following points concerning dogs;
- Under no circumstances may dogs be left unattended in any properly.
- Dogs must not be allowed to sit or sleep on furniture.
- As a courtesy to other tenants dogs must be exercised away from the grounds.
5. OCCUPANCY
Each properly is offered only on the understanding that no more than the maximum number of people as indicated in the brochure shall use it. We cannot be held liable for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained during the holiday to the Tenant and any number of the party or any invited person. As we offer primarily family holidays we reserve the right to refuse any booking which appears (via the booking form, or from other information received) not to meet this requirement, either by numbers in the party or composition. We also reserve the right to make any booking subject to deposit being received against inventory and cleaning, refundable within one week after the holiday less any damaged or missing items and less any other than normal.
6. LINEN
We supply duvet covers for all beds but you will need to bring your own sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea-towels. 7. ELECTRICITY/WOOD
No additional charges will be made for fuel as this is included in the cost of your holiday.
8. NO SMOKING
Some of the cottages have a no-smoking policy and guests are expected to respect this provision of booking.
9. LIABILITY
No liability is accepted in respect of loss or damage to the client or any member of the party, their baggage, car or contents resulting from riot, war, strikes, adverse weather conditions or sickness or for loss or damage by a third party.
10. COMPLAINTS
If it is felt that there are reasonable grounds for complaint about your holiday home we must be contacted immediately so that appropriate action can be taken. No such matters can be dealt with after the completion of your holiday.
11. CANCELLATION SCHEME
This is compulsory and costs £20.00 per week per property. Summary of cover - Full payment of deposit and/or final payment in the event of cancellation of your holiday for any of the following reasons, death, accident, sickness, compulsory quarantine, jury service, or witness summons of your self or any person with whom you intend to travel, or death accident or sickness of the husband, wife, child, father, mother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, or close business associate of yourself or any person with whom you intend to travel, your own home being rendered uninhabitable by fire, explosion subsidence, malicious damage, storm or flood, or Police requesting your presence at home following burglary or attempted burglary at home or at your place of business, cancellation of leave by HM Armed Forces or HM Police.
Conditions Precedent
- That the above mentioned persons are in good health, physically and mentally at the time of booking.
- In the event of your holiday being cut short by any of the above events you will be reimbursed for the unoccupied portion of your holiday rental. This only applies if the property is vacated by all members of your party. A Doctor's Certificate or other relevant document will be required to support a claim. If you have to cancel, please phone us immediately and confirm in writing the same day. If the reason for cancelling is not covered in the above terms the rent is due in full. We will seek to re-let and if successful would nominally return the balance of the rental paid less an administrative charge.
